Client’s Problem: How to rank on Google for Dog Breeder Services?
One of the key factors driving phone calls, leads, and overall brand exposure is ranking on the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) for the services you offer. To increase visibility, Pet Caramel needs to optimize its presence on both Google Maps and Google Search.
Google Maps: Ranking high on Google Maps opens up a world of local search opportunities, especially for those “near me” searches that are so critical for capturing local customers.
Google Search: This one’s a bit trickier. Your website needs to have the right combination of quality content and authority to be indexed by search engines and compete for top spots. Pet Caramel should aim to rank for key search queries like:
“Boxer Puppies near me” – “Boxer Puppies in California” – “Boxer Puppies for sale in the Bay Area” – “Boxer Breeder in the Bay Area”
Building a healthy website means focusing on Relevance, Authority, and User Experience. In our latest article, we show how we transformed Pet Caramel’s digital presence, driving a steady stream of highly qualified traffic month after month.

According to Ahrefs, Pet Caramel generates around 300 users per month, and while that number might seem modest at first glance, the key is in the details—it’s all about which keywords they’re coming from.

One of the top-performing keywords is “Boxer Puppies near me”, a mid-funnel search term that signals customers are deep into the buying process. Getting 300 visitors from a term like that is a huge win.
Get Your Brand on Google Maps
Another important keyword is “Boxer Puppies in the Bay Area,” currently ranking in position #3 on Google, right behind Good Dog and Craigslist.

A key component of your digital strategy is ensuring your business is listed and optimized on Google My Business (GMB).
We’ve recorded a video showing Pet Caramel’s success on GMB, including:
- 136 views from clients in the last 30 days
- 133 clicks to the website
- 1,967 users viewing Pet Caramel on Google Maps
- 909 searches featuring the business listing
If you want to drive more qualified leads and get your brand noticed on GMB, reach out to us. There’s a lot more to share than what fits in just one article.
Google Ads: A Crucial Tool
Pet Caramel also needs to strategically invest in Google Ads. Since they only sell when they have puppies available, they don’t need ads running year-round. Instead, we crafted a highly targeted campaign using phrase match terms and an extensive negative keyword list to avoid wasted clicks. The results have been outstanding. Here’s what we achieved with a location-based Search campaign:
- Clicks: 453
- Impressions: 2,394
- CTR: 18.92%
I can’t reveal exact conversion numbers, but with a CTR that high, you can imagine the impact.
